Motorcycle stunt riding is a legitimate sport in several countries around the world. The sport has been inducted in several major annual tournaments and lakhs of youngsters with skills take part to forge an identity of their own. Not to mention, the prize money along with brand endorsements associated with motorcycle stunting is relatively lucrative. In short, it can be claimed that the motorcycle stunt riding universe has evolved remarkably in the last few years.

While there are lakhs of stunt riders, an exceptional few deserve extra spotlight. In this article, allow us to introduce you to the best motorcycle stunt riders of all time.

Doug Domokos

In the 80s and 90s, Domokos was hailed as “The Wheelie King” for he performed the longest wheelie at 233 kmph; a record which stayed for eight great years. Sadly, the stuntman died in an aircraft accident, after which he was inducted in Ohio’s Motorcycle Museum Hall of Fame.

Putt Mossman

In the 20th century, Mossman was a stuntman who travelled to six other continents and performed in over 45 countries. This stat speaks about his popularity during that era as a stuntman. Even in his 70s, Mossman used to perform stunts with no mistakes. The expert rider passed away at the age of 88.

Chris Pfeiffer

By 20, Chris had over 300 trophies and in 1997, he jumped over 33 people without a ramp. For more than 10 years, Chris has been associated with BMW Motorrad and has won four Erzberg Rodeo. The 45-year-old is a living legend of the dangerous sport.

Rok Bagoros

KTM’s official stunt rider is Rok Bagoros, who joined the world of motorcycle stunting after watching a video of Chris Pfeiffer on YouTube. The Slovenian stunt rider is the first in the world to perform stunts on real ice and has accomplished several major tournaments from around the world.

Anam Hashim

Anam is nowhere near the names introduced in the above paragraphs but she makes this list for she is the only Indian women stunt rider to win an international championship in 2017. Furthermore, she rode a 110cc scooter and scaled the Khardung La pass (highest motorable road on earth). For breaking stereotypes and placing India on the international motorcycle stunt riding map, Hashim is a legend to us.
