Dogs, who doesn’t love the furry loyal animals? They say a man’s best friend is a dog and rightly so. They not only guard their owners but also are great companions for kids, older people and even youngsters. While many like adopting dogs from shelters, some people have a knack for buying pedigree dogs too. But what you probably do not know is dogs can be extremely expensive at times! No, we aren’t just talking about taking care of them but the fact that few breeds of dogs around the would cost you a fortune to own. So, here are few of the most expensive dog breeds in the world…

English bulldog

 The estimated price of an English bulldog can go up to around Rs 2, 05,000 if bought as an adult and as a pure breed. These dogs look extremely muscular and stout. They are short, have a small tail, and not that aggressive. However, if not trained properly, they may not be very fond of the outdoors.

Irish wolfhound

 These beastly looking dogs are tall and have a price tag of around Rs 2,18,710 or more. They are perfect as guard dogs or even as hunting dogs but you should be careful about taking good care of them and training them properly as a guard dog.

Afghan hound

 These dogs are considered extremely beautiful due to their long fur and many celebrities own one. They silky smooth straight fur and a curly tail and are tall as well. While an adult would cost you anywhere around or more Rs 2 lakh, a puppy will surely be way more than that.

Chow chow

Is one of the oldest and rarest breeds in the world. Thus you can imagine that would cost a fortune. In fact, an adult chow chow can cost you anywhere around Rs 6-7 lakh. Puppies are more expensive in this breed too.

Bull mastiff

 All you guard dog lovers will surely have heard of this breed. These have been used for years by landowners to stop poachers from entering their property. They can cost you up to Rs 2 lakh as an adult and more as a puppy. This breed too needs to be trained in the way their owners want to.
