Keeping the body healthy on the outside is the first thing that we pay attention to. But what we keep out of the mind is paying attention to our gut, stomach. If the gut is healthy our body on the outside automatically becomes healthy. Also, note over here that our stomach is the most sensitive organ, and the slightest of unknowingly consuming something that doesn’t sit right with our stomach causes uneasiness.

The stomach uneasiness often leads to ailments that are out of our control and can cause persistent pain leading to unproductive days. Our diet and digestion is an important aspect in maintaining good health. So the foods we consume influence and process the digestive system helping us achieve strong physical and mental health.

Ginger This herb relaxes and soothes the intestinal track aiding digestion, reducing inflammation and heartburns. Either boil the ginger water add honey and have it in the morning or sip on ginger water with few drops of lemon after every meal to see the benefit of this herb.

Fennel seeds Technically, since ancient times in India, people have been chewing on fennel seeds as a mouth freshener or an after-meal snack to chew on. The reason why people used fennel seeds than to something keep on chewing on throughout the day was that it aids digestion. The reason it is more useful chewing on after meals. The phytonutrients in fennel give it an antioxidative property that helps in reducing gas and bloating.

Stay hydrated Consuming water at room temperature than ice-cold, during the entire day and in between the meals. Drink water in moderation is necessary and drinking either slightly cooled boiling water with a slice of lemon that aids in keeping the digestive system active.

Cumin seeds These help in the secretion of various digestive enzymes in the pancreas aiding in digestion and absorption of nutrients. Either add roasted cumin or its grounded form in curd, buttermilk, shikanji, salad, vegetables, and soups or boil in water and consume in the morning empty stomach.

Yogurt It is one of those components that not only keeps the stomach cool but also helps in keeping it healthy. Though most dairy products are difficult to digest, yogurt contains probiotics that help in increasing the number of good bacteria in the gut, aiding in digestion, and reducing the uneasiness of being bloated. Probiotics are live micro-organisms that may be able to prevent and treat some illnesses.

Promoting a healthy digestive tract and the healthy immune system is the key to a healthy ailment free stomach.  Also include papaya and bananas in your diet as they can be wondorously good for your stomach.
