In the 2006 and 2014 Badminton Asia Championships, Lee Chong Wei was almost Flawless. In the men's singles competitions in 2008, 2012, and 2016, he won three silver medals at the Olympics. Moha Khalil Yaakob, the governor of Malacca, presented Lee Chong Wei with the title of "Datuk Wira."
Indian professional badminton player Saina Nehwal plays the game. She was formerly ranked number one in the world and has won 24 international championships, eleven of them Superseries. Even though she finished second in the world in 2009, she wasn’t able to take the top spot until 2015. This made her the only Indian woman player and the second Indian player overall, after Prakash Padukone, to accomplish this achievement.
Playing badminton, Pusarla Venkata Sindhu is an Indian and one of the most accomplished athletes in India, Sindhu has medalled in multiple competitions, including the Olympics and BWF circuit, where she won gold at the 2019 World Championships.
