JhalakDikhla Ja, a popular Chartbuster song released in 2006 brought terror and fear for the residents of Bhalej, in Gujarat as they claimed that those who listen to it or sing it get possessed. One instance is of Firoz Thakur who was allegedly possessed by evil spirits after singing the song. The fear continued in the village as strange cases were being reported from the different areas of the village each mimicking the action ofFiroz. The incident became so huge that it was even covered by the national media; no one could explain the strange happenings of Bhalej. It was said because the lyrics of the song having the words AajaAajabecame a carrier for evil spirits to enter the village.
Face scratcher
Imagined your face being scratched by an unknown force and the next thing you remember is waking up with no sights of that creature or force, similar kind of stories surfaced in 2002 and was mainly confined to the rural regions of Uttar Pradesh. Right now the story of Muhnochwa may sound similar to Monkeyman and is equally horrifying if not more. During 2002 electricity wasn't available in rural areas especially during the night and it was common in the villages of Uttar Pradesh for people to sleep on the roof and according to eyewitnesses, they became easy targets for Mohnuchwa. It is said that Muhnochwa only attacked in the night and preyed on individuals and avoided to attack groups.
