Tips And Tricks To Help You Slide Jenga Pieces Easily

Let the jenga gods be by your side!

Jenga is a great game that engages most of your senses including your cognitive skills. The rules are pretty simple: keep stacking the jenga pile one after another without dropping the stack. The catch, however, is that you have to remove one of the already stacked pieces carefully enough to not disturb the equilibrium and then add the removed piece somewhere else into the stack, again without disturbing the equilibrium. While the game might sound simple, it requires the players to be constantly attentive both physically and mentally. However, you can always have some edge over your opponents with some simple tips and tricks up your sleeve. Here are a few tips to help you slide your jenga pieces smoothly.

Push The Blocks

Many times people tug and pull at the jenga blocks that disturb the balance of the stack making the player lose the game. The simple trick here is to push and pull the jenga blocks. Gently push your chosen jenga block out of the stack to maintain the balance of the tower. Doing so will help you maintain the stability and the tower’s structure will remain intact. Remember to try this trick if you want to keep your jenga foundation solid.

Use The Non-Dominant Hand

Not a lot many people know this but using your non-dominant hand gives you an advantage while playing jenga. That means use your left hand to play if you are a right-handed person and your right hand to play if you are a left-handed person. The rules state that you can use only one hand while playing but does not specify which hand. So, you can always try this tip. Playing with your non-dominant hand would help you develop manual dexterity. This would, in turn, increase the chances of maintaining the stability of the tower’s structure.

Remove The Thickest Blocks Last

Not all of the jenga blocks are same in sizes. Some are thicker and heavier than the others. Make sure that you remove these thick pieces last. This is because the thick or heavy pieces are more likely to be able to hold the stability of the structure better and for longer compared to the lighter or thinner blocks. Moreover, move the blocks from the right to placed at the left and the blocks from the left to be placed on the right.
