Vancouver, in Canada, is well-known for its outdoor activities, but it's the city's inside offerings that have our attention. Vancouver's historic Chinatown will soon be home to the Chinese Canadian Museum, and the city's first Michelin guide will be released this summer. With a surge in population due to the epidemic, Bozeman, Montana, was transformed into a Rocky Mountain center. There has been a recent influx of trendy new businesses to the downtown area, including yoga and fitness studios, alternative medicine clinics, and upscale cosmetics shops. While the River Grande in Puerto Rico gives people a taste of nature without leaving the nation, Washington, D.C., is lauded for its swanky new hotels and thriving arts and entertainment scene. Dijon in France has a lengthy history in the culinary world, and it's not only because of the mustard. Launched in 2022, the Cité Internationale de la Gastronomie et du Wine is a massive 16-acre park celebrating the achievements of French gastronomy. In 2016, Pantelleria became Italy's newest national park, marking the beginning of the island's metamorphosis from a sleepy retreat to a bustling year-round adventure destination. New summer flights between Rome and Milan make it more convenient to get there. The Romanian city of Timisoara will host several cultural events in honor of its designation as the 2023 European Capital of Culture.
Asia-Pacific
With its world-class surfing, scuba diving, and snorkeling, the Tuamotu Archipelago in French Polynesia is a popular tourist destination that can be reached in about one hour via plane from the country's capital, Papeete. Nagoya is conveniently located next to Japan's newest and most anticipated theme park, Ghibli Park. It's also a perfect spot to enjoy the outdoors, especially in April when the cherry blossoms bloom.
Middle East and Africa
With its breathtaking terrain, Aqaba served as the inspiration for the planetary Arrakis in "Dune," the sequel to which is set for release this year. Rwanda's Musanze serves as a portal for Volcanoes National Park, where endangered mountain gorillas may be seen. The park has recently announced development plans. Freetown, the vibey seaside city of Sierra Leone, is poised to become a major player in the growing adventure tourism industry.
