Robot (Enthiran in Tamil) was a 2010 movie directed by S. Shankar and featured Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai as the lead characters. It was a blockbuster in Tamil Nadu and did pretty well in the Hindi film circles also. Robot was a sci-fi movie with lots of action, CGI, and VFX. It was the costliest Indian movie made till then. The story of the movie revolves around Dr. Vaseegaran, a robotics scientist (Rajinikanth) who creates a robot named Chitti who has a mind of his own and later becomes a menace for human beings after falling into the hands of bad people. It was appreciated a lot for its innovative story and technology used and became a pan-India hit.
Anniyan dubbed as Aparichit is a 2005 vigilante movie featuring Tamil actor Chiyan Vikram, an honest lawyer who suffers from multiple personality disorder and is mocked by everyone including the girl he loves because of his honesty which seems stupid to others. When he was not able to give punishment to the bad people, his alter ego Anniyan takes over his personality and punishes the criminals. While the Tamil Version was a big hit, its dubbed version Aparichit became one of the most-watched movies on television.
