Global pandemic introduced us to a new and different lifestyle which will probably be the new normal.
In the year, 2020 the world has seen a drastic change in every aspect of life- daily schedules, life goals, work-life, academic concerns, etc. The world faced a deep crisis in terms of lifestyle, economic stability, food and service availability. Honestly, none of us was ready for the complete lockdown for more than 60 days; but by the start of the unlocking period, we optimistically adopted many teachings in life.
Some of the lessons that we learned from the pandemic are as follows.
Always wear masks and use sanitiser- Starting as the essential precaution during the pandemic to learning the importance of outdoor hygiene- our life changed. Today, we realised that wearing masks not only prevents us from increasing pollution but prevents the entrance of dangerous germs too. Similarly, hand sanitiser is a must carry on while travelling outdoors, especially before and after eating foods or touching anything.
It is vital to take the vaccine at our turn- It is of the crucial tools to fight various diseases. Vaccine claims to reduce the risks of virus attack up to 85%, so take the dose of vaccines at your turn. However, one must not stop maintaining hygiene even after taking vaccines.
Maintaining mental health is important- As per the study reports, an increased number of mental health cases got reported by doctors during the pandemic. When the world was stuck home, not everybody took it well. Depression or mental breakdown were the common side-effects of the global pandemic. Therefore, mental health must be taken seriously and get discussed freely to avoid such situations in future.
We need to have the capacity to be resilient. Since day one of the global outburst, we got advised to take good care of our immunity so that our body gains the energy to fight the deadly virus. Therefore, self-care is the first step towards a healthy lifestyle. We must follow a strict diet that includes proteins, vitamins and other vital nutrients for the smooth functioning of the body.
Keep a balance between persons and technology. Today, technology became a major part of our life. We start and end our day looking at screens, and we often forget to spend time with the people around us. However, during this pandemic, many of us understood the value of spending quality time with friends and family. Take a break from the devices and spend time with people; otherwise, you might miss going out again.
