Green tea toner also adds a subtle shine and helps control frizz. Brew a cup of green tea, letting it cool completely. Strain the liquid and transfer it to a spray bottle. After shampooing, mist your hair with the toner and comb through. There's no need to rinse.  
  3. For Boosting Volume (Rice Water Toner). Rice water, a staple in Asian hair care routines, has gained global recognition for its hair-strengthening properties. Fermented rice water contains inositol, a compound that strengthens hair follicles and promotes growth. Soak ½ cup of rice in water for 30 minutes. Strain the liquid (rice water) and store it in a container for up to a week. After shampooing, dilute the rice water with an equal amount of water. Apply it to your scalp and hair, massaging gently. Rinse with cool water.
  4. For Extra TLC (Nourishing Hair Toner). This toner combines the benefits of essential oils and carrier oils to nourish your hair and scalp. Mix two tablespoons of a carrier oil like almond or jojoba oil with five drops of a hair-friendly essential oil like rosemary or lavender.
