Sonic was originally brown.
Sonic was originally a brown hedgehog, but Doctor Kintobor conducted various experiments on him, which turned him blue. Later on, Doc Kintobor tried those experiments on himself, which transformed him into the main nemesis in the Sonic The Hedgehog franchise.
