Home-made treats are the best and what better way to cap the week off than with a do-it-yourself exotic fruit flavored ice cream? We are bringing you some flavours that you have not thought could be amazing!

Dragon fruit ice cream

Dragon fruit—either magenta-pink with green leaves or yellow—has equally beautiful white or red fleshes speckled with tiny black seeds making this a visually beautiful ice cream. The flavor of this fruit is mildly sweet with a creamy taste. The treat is refreshing. Combine the ripe dragon fruit with a touch of fresh lemon juice and a little honey. Combine this mixture with heavy cream or coconut milk and churn until smooth in an ice cream maker!

Passion fruit sorbet

Another exotic one! Fresh passion fruit tastes fragrantly tangy, and a sorbet feels right. For a passion fruit sorbet, the pulp of fresh passion fruits is puréed with a little sugar and lime juice. To achieve a smoother texture, sieve the mixture to eliminate any seed or fibrous bits. Churn in an ice cream maker for a light and refreshing sorbet bursting with tropical flavors. Ideal as a palate cleanser or sweet course.

Mango-lychee ice cream

Mango and lychee pair beautifully, and by combining the two, you get a taste of true tropical heaven. Puree ripe mangoes and lychees together to create this delicious ice cream. Combine the fruit puree with coconut milk or cream, with some sugar or honey to taste. It is frozen in an ice cream maker until it acquires the appropriate consistency. The output is an ice cream that is smooth and creamy!

Jackfruit ice cream

Something which originated from God’ own country – Kerala. It is a pretty unique fruit with great flavor. Think of a description like a combination of pineapple, banana, and mango, so the ice cream will be nothing but exotic. To make this ice cream, purée ripe jackfruit pieces with a little coconut milk or cream, then sweeten with honey or sugar. You could even add some extra luxury with the addition of some coconut shavings. Churn until creamy. This ice cream will make sure you feel the awesomeness.

Guava ice cream

It carries a twist with its fragrance and slightly tart flavor compared to the usual ice creams. Guava ice cream can easily be made by pureeing overripe guavas and folding them with cream or coconut milk. Sweeten the guava puree to taste with sugar or honey, and add a splash of lime juice to enhance the flavor. Ideally, churn with an ice cream maker. You will have a creamy, slightly sour mixture, exploding with fragrance!

Pineapple-coconut ice

Pinacolada fans, assemble. For a natural tropical taste, the combination of pineapple and coconut is a classic one. Blend fresh pineapple with coconut milk, and add some sugar to sweeten. Stir in some toasted coconut flakes for extra texture and flavor. Are you sure the ice cream will be creamy and tropical?
