7 popular Bollywood films shot in Thailand

The superbly gorgeous country Thailand has always been in the good books of Bollywood filmmakers.

Thailand is an exotic beauty that a lot of filmmakers dream of capturing in their movies. The majestic island beaches, lush green forests, magnificent mountains and more; the Land of Smiles possesses every element that would seem like a visual treat on screen. Also, the country is quite affordable to visit from India. This is why a number of Bollywood movies have been shot in various parts of Thailand. No matter how usual the content is, it looks special because of the elegance of those Thai locations.

Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai: The Hrithik Roshan - Ameesha Patel starrer blockbuster movie 'Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai' captured Thailand in an excellent manner. The title track was filmed in Phra Nang beach which is filled with white sands, crystal-clear blue water and lush green forests.

Awaarapan: Mohit Suri's crime drama 'Awaarapan' is popular for many reasons, the song "Tera Mera Rishta Purana" is the major one among them. The entire sequence was shot across Muang Boran city near Bangkok. The vintage roads, architectural structures, Buddha idols and more of this city were captured beautifully in this film.

Housefull 2: 'Housefull 2' has numerous scenes portraying the enormous charm of Thailand. The "Do You Know" song sequence was shot at Sheraton Krabi Beach and Hotel. Some of the locations we see in the fight sequences of this film are at the mystical wilderness and rocky waterfalls of Krabi Wildlife Reserve Park.

Ready: The Salman Khan starrer action-romantic movie 'Ready' was shot widely in Thailand. The "Dhinka Chika" song sequence was shot at Don Mueang International Airport and Rama VIII Bridge. The song "Humko Pyar Hua" was shot opposite to several architectural structures of the city of Bangkok. In fact, the Marriage Registrar office shown in the movie is the Pattaya Exhibition And Convention Hall.

Student of the Year: Karan Johar's coming-of-age romantic drama 'Student of the Year' was shot at numerous parts of Thailand such as Bangkok, Koh Samui and Khao Yai. The wedding scene including the "Radha Teri Chunri" song sequence was shot at Banyan Tree Hotel, Koh Samui.

Baghi: While 'Baghi' is mostly popular for its striking action sequences, we should also acknowledge that it beautifully captured the exotic charm of Thailand. The "Sab Tera" song sequence was shot at Krabi beach, while several fight scenes were set in the city of Bangkok.

Baar Baar Dekho: 'Baar Baar Dekho' is another Bollywood movie in which Thailand was captured in an aesthetic manner. The "Sau Aasman" song sequence was shot at various areas of the country, such as Krabi beach, Phranang caves, Patong area etc.

Some other Bollywood films shot in Thailand are 'Aap Ka Suroor', 'Partner', 'Wanted', 'Chandni Chowk to China', 'Veere Di Wedding' etc.
